The Collective is a community of faculty with the aim of creating a more just world through teachingand learning in higher education settings.

The Social Justice Assignment Project is the first major initiative of The Collective and is a faculty-led initiative launched by the School of Arts, Letters, and Sciences at National University. This projectaims to center next-generation teaching and learning practices around equity and social justice in theUnited States. Faculty members collaborate to advance the scholarship of teaching and learning,engaging a broader audience and inspiring a new generation of educators—ultimately advancing thesuccess of students and the betterment of society.
